Two friends, serving as the PR team for incredible karigars

Together we make real batik, by hand, in small batches, for women who want to wear art on an ordinary day.

We met at school. We’ve been competing ever since.

We grew up as school friends with the same competitive streak, the same love of sport and dogs, and the same silly goose behavior. When we decided to build something together, we wanted it to be worth that energy.

We found it in batik. It is a rare wax-resist craft, practised by karigars whose hands carry generations of knowledge. Every print asks for patience and precision, and no two ever come out the same.

We don’t think of ourselves as the makers of this art. We’re its custodians. Our job is to carry the karigar’s work to more women, in natural fabrics and modern silhouettes they’ll actually live in.

The art comes first. The artisan comes first. And the woman wearing it always comes first.

Slow, and on purpose.

We don’t follow trends, and we don’t make in bulk. These are the six things every piece is held to.

  • Slow, by choice

A batik piece takes days to make. We give it every one of them.

  • Pure, natural fabrics

Cotton and modal that breathe and soften with wear. Never polyester.

  • Design that lasts

Made to be worn for years, long after this season is forgotten.

  • Craft over convenience

Printing would be faster. We wax and dye by hand anyway.

  • People over production

Small batches, so the hands that make each piece are never rushed.

  • Purpose over trends

We make what we believe in, then we make it well.

For the woman you know

The one heading into a 9:30 meeting. Her Gen-Z sister. Her mother, her bridesmaid and her comfort-first friend. We make clothes all of them can wear and feel at home in.

Sizes run from XXS to 6XL, and any piece can be cut to your measurements at no extra cost.

Every piece can be cut to you, at no extra cost.

Most women have a darzi on speed dial because ready sizes rarely fit the way they should. We didn’t want to sell you something that needed fixing.

So choose “My measurements” on any piece and we’ll cut it to fit you. Made-to-order pieces also leave with extra fabric in every seam, for the day you need a small change years from now.

It takes us longer. We think it’s worth it, because a piece that fits is a piece you keep.

Made slowly, on purpose.
