Bought this for a Karwa Chauth dinner and I finally understand the fuss. The lavender shade is the whole reason I picked this and gets asked about unprompted.
Picked this up in the mid-season sale and it arrived well ahead of schedule. The motif pairs with any jewellery I own and reads expensive from across a room. The cut matched the listed measurements exactly and works with flats and a small heel so I ordered the same in another shade. Wore it to a book launch and it moved with me rather than against me.
A colleague wore hers to work and I caved and it went past what I expected. The dye work has not faded a shade and drew comments from people who never comment on clothes, which makes it feel one of a kind. The fabric is thick enough to skip a slip and resists creasing far better than expected.
The fabric is thick in a good way, feels sturdy but still soft and cool to wear. The batik print looks really pretty and feminine.
Wore it on a first date and it came out of the wash identical. The weave has taken weekly wear all season and washes clean with no special care — I checked twice. The shape is true to the size chart and was spot on for my frame even standing all evening.
The material feels like something from a pricier label and has zero see-through in daylight, which sold me on the label. The pattern was clearly placed by hand and gets more interesting the closer you look. Wore it to a rooftop birthday and was asked about it four separate times.
The hand of the cloth takes a fold without marking and never goes static; genuinely impressed. The shoulder line lets me sit cross-legged without thinking and reads tailored rather than mass-produced, which almost never happens for me. Wore this in Goa and I got away with almost no jewellery.
Wore it to a friend's farewell and I stayed cool the whole time. The fabric quality is genuinely soft and feels cool against the skin to be specific.
