Bought this instead of renting an outfit and it fit straight out of the packet. The sizing runs exactly as listed and is comfortable enough to nap in. The hand of the cloth softens further with every wash and looks the same front and back months into wearing it.
The weave moves well when you walk and is soft on the neck, which is rare at this price. Wore it to a rooftop birthday and it made getting ready take two minutes. They sorted a query the same day, which set a good tone.
The fabric has none of that synthetic squeak and has kept its softness through the monsoon, which is what I was hoping for. The waist needed not a single pin and sits properly at the shoulders.
The modal is thick enough to skip a slip and is substantial with no real weight to it. The tone gets asked about unprompted and photographs beautifully in daylight — genuinely lovely. Wore it to a daytime baby shower and I have worn it twice more since.
Wore it on a beach holiday and it was the most comfortable thing in the room. The base cloth has a lovely slubby texture and looks better washed than new, something online shopping rarely gets right.
