The tone has the uneven handmade character I look for and is subtle enough for office and pretty enough for evening, which makes it feel one of a kind. The silhouette is true to the size chart and suited my shoulders unusually well. Will wear it for function night. Btw, three relatives asked for the brand name.
The hand of the cloth feels cool against the skin and is fully opaque, which is rare at this price. The batik work drew comments from people who never comment on clothes and gets asked about unprompted, which I noticed straight away.
Ordered two weeks out from an event and it has quietly become a staple. The stitching was spot on for my frame and sits properly at the shoulders. The weave has that dry, cool handle good cotton should have and catches light through the slub, exactly as the listing promised.
The body of the fabric moves well when you walk and is substantial with no real weight to it. The waist suits a longer torso well and is generous through the hip even on a pear-shaped frame.
The finish has enough structure to hold a pleat and takes a fold without marking. The detailing photographs beautifully in daylight and is more wearable than the photos suggest even under office tubelights. Wore it to a family sangeet and it beat everything else I had shortlisted.
The weight of it is dense enough to hang properly and carries the print without stiffening, something online shopping rarely gets right. The length stayed put through an evening of dancing and is flattering without being tight.
Ordered this for a housewarming and I have told three people since. The motif works with silver or gold and has depth no digital print gets. The fabric quality has a matte finish that reads expensive and never goes static.
