My mother asked me to order her one too and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The border detail has kept every bit of its depth and it looks handmade in the best way. The fit allows full movement in the arms and hits at a genuinely useful length, which almost never happens for me. Wore it for a haldi and it went from day to night with just earrings. Worth every rupee.
The modal feels properly premium, which is what I was hoping for. Wore it to a naming ceremony and I got away with almost no jewellery. A fabric swatch was included, which set a good tone.
The batik pattern is stunning and looks handcrafted, not printed cheaply. Fits beautifully, the stitching is neat and well finished.
Ordered this after seeing it on Instagram and it has survived a full season. The length is comfortable enough to nap in and leaves room after a heavy lunch — a relief when ordering online. The fabric never goes static and carries the print without stiffening, something online shopping rarely gets right.
First time buying from Shades of You and it has quietly become a staple. The material is finished neatly at every seam, which decided it for me. This is what I point people to now.
Ordered this after months of window shopping and I have since ordered another. The hand of the cloth catches light through the slub and keeps its shape through a full day. The sizing runs exactly as listed and flatters with no shapewear even on a pear-shaped frame. Already ordered a second colour.
The cloth feels cared about rather than churned out to be specific. The waist stayed put through an evening of dancing and is forgiving around the middle even standing all evening.
